Most dogs come in from the garden carrying a stick or covered in mud, but this furry fella brought something very peculiar into his house.
Duke the chow chow surprised his owner when he strolled up to her wearing a baby possum on his chest.
The adorable dog seemed delighted by his new little friend and was unfazed by the tiny animal clinging to his lion's mane.
In the TikTok video that has been viewed by 816,000 people, Duke of Hawthorn had to part ways with his newfound best friend and set him free.
His owner explained: "So I just called my dog inside for the night and there's something dark attached to his chest.
"And I was like: 'What have you put your chest in?'

"There's just a possum hanging off his chest."
She calls Duke over to capture the moment on camera, and he looks overjoyed at his secret find.
The woman proceeds to try and gently pull the possum off Duke with a cloth, but the animal clings on for dear life.
Eventually, she manages to pry him away and shows Duke his unusual find.
"Oh my God that's what was attached to you," she says to the chow chow, who leans in for a sniff.
Making sure the possum wouldn't try to hitch another ride, she lets him climb onto her garden fence and into the night - though later admits she regrets not contacting the RSPCA.

The footage is captioned: "A chow and his baby possum friend hanging out" and went down very well with viewers, who were amazed by Duke's find.
One person commented: "When mum says no to a sleepover and you try to sneak them in", and another said: "He's like mom can we keep him".
Fans have commented on Duke's calm nature in the video and how well his owner handled the delicate situation in the moment.
A TikToker wrote: "Duke wants to be a daddy", followed by another person who added: "My dog just comes back inside with slugs on it".

Like Duke, lots of dogs are taking over the internet this week and dachshund Bosco is one of them.
The five-year-old tiny pup has an obsession with extra-large sticks and insists on carrying them around the park.
He will often obstruct walkways and trip people up, but nobody ever gets annoyed with him - he's far too adorable for that.
His owner Luccia Rodriguez, 24, based in London, told The Mirror : "Carrying big sticks is Bosco's favourite thing to do. He loves making people happy and thrives off the attention."
