A woman left her family in hysterics after using a sanitary towel as a face mask in a taxi.
Claire Cunningham from Kilmarnock, Scotland, was just about to jump in a taxi when she realised she had forgotten her face covering.
Face coverings are now mandatory on public transport and taxis in Scotland in a bid to stop the spread of coronavirus.
So when Claire, in a panic, realised she didn't have one she ran back inside to find an alternative.
The 36-year-old grabbed a sanitary towel to put over her mouth and nose for protection, the Daily Record reports.
But her family couldn’t believe she had gone ahead with her ‘compromised’ idea.
Kim Cunningham, 26, shared a hilarious video of her sister Claire laughing while wearing the inventive mask.
She said: "Am buckled Claire needed a face mask to go in the taxi and didn’t have one so had to compromise, absolute roaster.
“It was very last minute she forgot she needed a face covering for public transport.
“She ran in the house and saw them sitting so used them.
“I don’t think the taxi driver noticed to be fair.”
Friends commenting on the video couldn’t believe Claire’s hack and were quick to reply.
One said: “You’re a numpty.”
Another commented: "Nawww am actually in fits a cani cope where there a will there's a way.”
While others said: “This has made my morning. “
