A 35-year-old cyclist has died following a crash in Bridgend. The incident happened at around 9.10am on Sunday, October 16 on the A48 near the roundabout at Laleston heading towards Stormy Down.
The woman from Bridgend died in hospital from her injuries after her bike collided with a black Honda Civic. South Wales Police is now appealing for information. A statement from the force said: "South Wales Police is investigating a fatal road traffic collision which happened at around 9.10am this morning on the A48 near the roundabout at Laleston heading towards Stormy Down.

"A black Honda Civic was in collision with a bicycle and, despite the best efforts of members of the public and emergency services, the cyclist, a 35-year-old woman from Bridgend, was taken to hospital where she later died from her injuries."
DC Alun Efstathiou added: “I want to thank those members of the public who assisted at the scene and to the local community for their patience while the road was closed while we carried out our investigations. My thoughts are with the deceased’s family at this time.
“We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have any dash-cam footage of the incident or who witnessed the manner of driving of the Honda prior to the collision.”
