Woman killed in Sydney hit and run

Paramedics were unable to save the woman.

A female pedestrian has been killed in a hit and run in Sydney's south-west this morning, with the car leaving behind its side mirror at the scene.

Just after 4:30am police were called to Henry Lawson Drive near Raleigh Road at Milperra where they found the woman.

Paramedics attempted to resuscitate her but were unsuccessful.

It is believed she was struck by an older model white Toyota utility which failed to stop.

The car was last seen travelling south on Henry Lawson Drive which has now been closed while the crash scene is examined.

The Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit is urging anyone with information about the vehicle to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
