A woman has been tragically killed in a horror road smash this morning (Tuesday).
The 39-year-old died following the crash on the A811 near Arnprior.
The collision involved a gas tanker and a silver Volkswagen Golf at around 11.15am.
Emergency services attended and the woman, who was the driver of the Golf, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have since informed her family.
The driver of the tanker wasn't seriously injured.
Sergeant David Ross, of Forth Valley Road Policing, said: "We're appealing to anyone who witnessed this or has any dash-cam footage to contact us on 101 quoting incident number 1088 of February 25."
The road between Arnprior and Kippen Station remains closed.
