A 70-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash Thursday on Lower Wacker Drive in the Loop.
The woman was driving a Honda sedan about 12:20 a.m., when she collided with a Buick sedan at an intersection in the 300 block of East Wacker Drive, Chicago police said.
The driver of the sedan fled and is not in custody, police said.
Christine Campbell, of the Wrightwood neighborhood, was taken from the middle level of Wacker Drive to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
The Chicago Police Major Accidents unit is investigating the crash.
