An 85-year-old woman has died after a crash near Hay-on-Wye.
A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police said officers were called to the scene of a crash on the B4351 carriageway between Clyro and Hay-on-Wye, Powys, at about 8am on Wednesday.
A force spokesman said a silver Mini crashed into the back of a Vauxhall van which had initially stopped to assist with another collision.
The driver of the Mini, an 85-year-old woman, died in hospital a few hours later. Officers are appealing for witnesses to contact officers investigating the incident.
Anyone with any information relating to the incident, or who may have seen the Mini travelling along the B4351 at the time, has been asked to contact Dyfed-Powys Police's serious collision unit quoting police reference DPP-20201104-040.
