Woman 'kidnapped, held captive and tortured for three days'

Police say the younger woman was threatened and taken to the house at Waterford West.

A 40-year-old woman has been accused of kidnapping and torturing a 19-year-old woman while holding her captive for three days.

Police said the younger woman was threatened and taken to a house at Waterford West, south of Brisbane, on Monday, where she was held against her will by the older woman who owned the house.

The 40-year-old woman allegedly seriously assaulted the victim over a period of three days before police found them both just before 11:00pm on Wednesday.

The young woman was taken to Logan Hospital with significant injuries.

The 40-year-old has been charged with kidnapping, torture, deprivation of liberty and failing to appear in court.

She is due to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates court later today.

Investigations are continuing.
