A woman’s embarrassing experience with a waiter at a restaurant has gone viral after the hilarious clip racked up nearly nine million views.
TikTok user Elizabeth was left mortified when she visited a restaurant with her friends, only to mistake a waiter’s attempt to reach for a candle as a hug.
Sharing a clip to TikTok, she wrote: “By far the most embarrassing moment of my life.”
In the video, Elizabeth added: “Thinking about the time when I thought the waiter was giving me a hug for my birthday, but he was just grabbing the candle.”
In the clip, the waiter can be seen cheering before leaning over to grab the candle -before Elizabeth tries to hug him mid-lean.
The awkward clip left people in stitches - and has been seen more than 8.4 million times since being shared on TikTok.
One commented to say: “This is what you think about at 3 am when you can’t fall asleep.”
