A woman was struck by gunfire that came from outside a Grand Crossing home Friday on the South Side.

The 23-year-old woman was inside a home in the 7600 block of South Drexel about 8:35 p.m. when she was struck by gunfire that came from the backyard, Chicago police said.

She was taken to Stroger Hospital with a gunshot wound to her leg, police said. Her condition was stabilized. It was unclear if she was the target of the shooting.

No arrests have been made, police said.
