A woman was injured when an argument turned violent Sunday in Hollywood Park on the Northwest Side.
The 26-year-old was lying in a bed with her son about 1 a.m. when a male she knows entered the first-floor apartment in the 5700 block of North Spaulding Avenue, according to Chicago police.
They started to argue before the male hit her in the back of the head, causing a laceration, police said. She was taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital in good condition.
Multiple children were in the apartment at the time but no other injuries were reported, police said.
No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
