A woman was threatened with a steak knife and suffered injuries in an attack near a busy shopping centre.
The woman, in her 20s, was walking along Borough Road in Birkenhead when a man in a bike approached her.
He threatened her with a steak knife and made off with her coat, a purple/blue jacket, and a small amount of cash, at around 6pm on Wednesday 21 April.
The victim was later taken to hospital with superficial injuries which she sustained during the incident.
Merseyside Police has described the man as white with acne scarred skin, black hair, wearing all black clothing and riding a Trek bike.
Detective Inspector Darren Taylor said: “This was a shocking incident which took place on a busy road so we’re hopeful that someone passing on foot or in a vehicle may have captured the incident, or a man matching this description making off.
