Shocking dash-cam footage shows the moment a woman in a wheelchair goes the wrong way round a busy dual carriageway roundabout.
The incident happened on the Briton Ferry roundabout on Tuesday evening at 4.45pm.
The footage was posted by Stephen Quick on Facebook, who was heading towards the A48 at the time.
He said he had to brake quickly when he spotted the woman on the road.
"I wasn’t expecting to see someone in a wheelchair going round the roundabout the wrong way as I was pulling onto the A48. Absolutely crazy, lucky I spotted her in time to go around," he said alongside the video on Facebook.
Mr Quick told Wales Online he couldn't believe what he had witnessed.
He added: "Someone just said that they saw the same woman there last week as well."
It appeared, he said, that she was unaware of the danger she was putting herself and drivers in.
"There is a perfectly good pedestrian footbridge over the road," he added.
"As you come round the roundabout you start accelerating to go on the A48. Not everyone would have seen her. She’s lucky I did and braked and went round her."
Hundreds of people have liked and commented on the post, describing the act as "dangerous" with many people left shocked by what they had seen.
A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "We would urge anyone with concerns of a person’s behaviour on a road to please report it to us and encourage people to use designated crossing points."
