After the past 18 months, a lot of us have learned to appreciate the little things - especially those that were taken away from us, like the pleasures of being able to visit hair salons instead of relying on box dyes.
But, while most of us couldn't be happier to be back in the hands of professionals, one woman has spoken of how a trip to the hairdressers left her looking unrecognisable - and not in a good way.
TikToker Jackie, who goes by the name of @itsjayonce222 on the app, responded to a clip asking people to share the worst thing a salon had ever done to them.
Explaining how she'd wanted to go a little lighter for summer, Jackie shared a photo of what her hair previously looked like, back when her hair was a gorgeous choppy, light brunette bob.
"So this is how I started out, super cute... overall I think it was pretty cute, I really, really liked it, just wanted to go lighter for summer," she said.
"Just a little bit lighter - sorry if my voice is cracking, but I'm literally starting to cry thinking about this. This is the picture that I showed her, kind of blondish, cute for summer."

Jackie shared a picture of the hair she'd asked for, which was an ashy blonde version of the hairstyle she already had, before switching to a photo of her own hair after eight hours of sitting in the salon.
Although the hair was visibly lighter, it was clearly in very poor condition and looked like it had been 'fried' from all the bleach and heat it had been inflicted with.
Thousands of people flocked to the comments section to share their horror over the botched hair job, with many commenting to say the hairdresser had literally 'fried' her hair.
"It's worse than what I had expected. I am so sorry for you! I hope you didn't have to pay for that," one TikToker commented, while another added: "My eyes popped out of my head."
