A woman in her early 70s is in a serious condition in hospital after her car crashed into a tree in Rochdale.
Emergency services rushed to Kingsway Retail Park this lunchtime (Friday).
McDonalds Kingsway was cordoned off and ambulance and police were at the scene.
An air ambulance and two rapid response cars, one ambulance and an advanced paramedic attended the scene.
The woman was taken to hospital where she is in a serious condition
Witnesses described hearing and seeing an air ambulance trying to land on a nearby field.

A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said: "We received the call at 12.32pm.
"We attended with an air ambulance and two rapid response vehicles, one ambulance and an advanced paramedic.
"The patient, a woman in her early 70s, has been taken to hospital where they are in a serious condition."
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "We received the call at 12.55pm. It looks like a one vehicle RTC where a vehicle has hit a tree.

"No arrests have been made."
