Woman in hospital with serious injuries after being trapped under car

A woman remains in hospital with serious injuries after a crash left her trapped underneath a car.

Police, paramedics and fire crews were called to Sheil Road in Kensington at around 7.45pm on Wednesday, and a large police cordon was put in place.

The woman, who is believed to have been a delivery rider, was riding an electric scooter at the time of the crash.

Emergency Service workers raced to free her and get her to hospital for treatment.

The woman's injuries were described as "serious but non-life threatening."

Merseyside Police said the three car crash involved an electric scooter, a Ford Fiesta and a Nissan Primera.

All vehicles were removed from the scene and no one else was injured.

The road was closed for more than two hours and reopened at around 10.20pm.

Photos from the scene showed officers inspecting an electric Voi scooter with an Uber Eats bag beside it.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that could assist officers, has been asked to contacted @MerPolCC on Twitter.
