A woman was hospitalised after being allegedly seriously assaulted near Glasgow .
Police were called to reports of an incident at a property on Luggiebank Road near The Kirky Puffer pub in Kirkintilloch at around 9.30am on Saturday, December 21.
A 49 year-old was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and was later discharged.
Another woman, aged 46, has been arrested in connection with the alleged attack.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police were called to a property on Luggiebank Road, Kirkintilloch, around 9.30am on Saturday, 21 December following a report of a serious assault.
"A 49 year-old woman was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and was later discharged. A 46-year-old woman has been arrested in connection.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
