
A woman is fighting for life in hospital following an alleged violent altercation in Victoria’s Barwon Heads over the Easter long weekend.
On Saturday, April 19, at around 11pm, a woman believed to be in her 40s suffered life-threatening injuries after a “serious alleged assault” in Victoria’s coastal town of Barwon Heads, 9News reports.
After emergency services reported to the scene, the woman was airlifted to hospital for treatment.
The publication also reports that a 55-year-old man was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, where he was treated under police guard.

The man was taken into custody shortly after his release from the hospital.
Investigations into the incident have begun, with authorities urging anyone with information to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
