Woman in her 30s talked down from multi-storey car park roof

A distraught woman was found on the top floor of a city centre car park last night before she was talked down an hour-and-a-half later.

Police were called to the Q Park on Epworth Street, close to the Liverpool Royal Hospital, after receiving a report of concern for safety of a woman.

Both police and paramedics attended the scene.

The woman, who is in her 30s, was said to be on the top floor at around 9.20pm.

Police closed Epworth Street to allow officers to deal with the incident and speak to the woman.
