A woman in her 30s has died after being hit by a train near Newark North Gate train station.
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 1pm on Wednesday October 9.
All lines were blocked to and from the station which caused major delays across the rail network, LincolnshireLive reports.
The incident was dealt with by emergency services and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her death is not being treated as suspicious, British Transport Police have revealed.
A spokesperson for the force also revealed that the family have been informed.
