A woman in her 20s was found dead at a house in Walton.
Officers were called to the address in Pirrie Road in the Walton area on Friday.
Neighbours reported seeing forensic officers at the scene who were seen going in and out of a house on the road.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner."
It is understood the woman's next of kin have been informed.
