Woman in disbelief over hidden note found inside a piece of second-hand furniture

A woman who invested in some second-hand furniture was taken aback when she discovered a hidden note written by a childhood friend inside it, according to The Daily Star.

She took to the social media platform TikTok on June 8 to share her spooky news, with user Valencia @valenciascalifronia telling her followers that the "universe is crazy" and shared the details of the bizarre coincidence.

She tells her viewers: "The weirdest thing just happened, and I’m not making this up – I literally don’t care how many people comment and say: 'Oh my God, this was staged.'

"My heart’s like a little trembly. This is really cool.

"I bought these nightstands at Goodwill today and I go through the drawers and empty stuff out and I find this little crumpled up paper."

The woman then spills the beans and reveals what was written on the piece of paper.

"It legit says: ‘Carly’s home number and mom’s cellphone number.’ It has my mom’s cellphone number and our home phone number from, like, 15 years ago," she says.

"My youngest sister’s name is Carly and that’s our home phone number.

"We have not had a home phone, probably like ten to 15 years. But what are the chances of that?"

The video has been watched more than 300,000 times since it was uploaded on the app and many people were gobsmacked, questioning the odds.

"Oh that's trippy," wrote one viewer sounding impressed.

A second commented: "Perfect example of what's yours will come back to you."

Meanwhile, others shared their own stories of old things turning up unexpectedly.

One person wrote: "I found a wedding band in the middle of Sydney years ago. Then my mom calls and says pop is distraught as he lost his wedding band. It was his."

Another said: "I checked out a book when I was in Highschool in 2014 I opened it up and it had a bookmark with my sister's name and handwriting. She graduated 2006."
