A 76-year-old woman from Wheeling is in critical condition after being pulled from the water Saturday at a lake in Round Lake Beach.
About 3:10 p.m., officers responded to 911 calls after the woman was pulled from the water at Lakefront Park by another swimmer and the on-duty lifeguard, Round Lake Beach police said.
The lifeguard gave the woman CPR to the woman, who was not breathing after being pulled from the water. First responders took over CPR and she was rushed to Condell Hospital in Libertyville in critical condition, police said.
