Woman in 90s targeted by heartless burglars - a 'three-figure sum' of money was taken

A woman in her 90s had her home targeted in a heartless burglary in Tyldesley

A 'three-figure sum' of money was stolen during the break-in, which happened between 4pm to 6pm on Wednesday (December 9). 

Police were called to Pear Tree Grove just before 7pm.

It is not known if the victim was inside the property at the time of the incident.

A gold ring and silver ring were also among items stolen. 

No arrests have been made.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police.

A spokesman for GMP said: "Police were called at around 6.45pm on Wednesday 9 December 2020 to reports of a burglary at an address on Pear Tree Grove, Tyldesley, which occurred earlier that afternoon. 

“Enquiries are ongoing.” 

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident number 2353 of 09/12/2020. Details can be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
