Woman hurt in Marquette Park shooting

A woman was shot in the foot Wednesday afternoon in Marquette Park on the South Side.

The shooting happened at 1:09 p.m. in the 2400 block of West Marquette Road, according to Chicago police.

The 42-year-old woman was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, police said.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
