A woman has suffered minor burns to her lower legs after a barbecue gas bottle reportedly exploded at rugby league great Gordon Tallis' Brisbane home.

The incident happened at the former Brisbane Broncos star's home on Carwoola St, Bardon, about 7pm on Tuesday.

Queensland Ambulance Service said a woman suffered minor burns to her lower limbs and was taken to the Wesley Hospital in a stable condition.

The home is reportedly that of Mr Tallis, retired Broncos, Queensland and Australian captain, News Corp Australia reported.
