Woman hospitalised after being knocked down by car in Glasgow

A woman has been hospitalised after being knocked down in Glasgow.

The pedestrian was struck by a car in Old Shettleston Road on Friday August 20 at around 9.10pm.

Mercy crews swarmed the scene and rushed the casualty to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Her current medical condition is unknown at this time.

Police are now probing the incident and looking for witnesses.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 9.10pm on Friday, 20 August, officers were called to a report of a woman struck by a car in Old Shettleston Road, Glasgow.

"She was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and enquiries are continuing into this incident."
