Woman hits out after tattoo artist 'did whatever the heck he wanted' to shoulder ink

A woman who wanted a delicate leaf tattoo has hit out after an artist just 'did whatever the heck he wanted'.

Body art fan Staesha left the studio puzzled and disappointed after the tattooist completely disregarded what she asked for.

She said she gave the artist an idea of what she wanted a fortnight before and sent him over "pictures of the different types of tropical leaves".

However, the tattooist failed to include any of the leaf varieties she'd been so very specific about, and the end result couldn't have looked less like the pretty, botanical vision she'd approached him with, reports the Mirror.

Taking to TikTok with footage of the shoulder ink, Staesha - who goes by the username @evilherbivorre - recalled how she'd requested "clean linework" without any shading.

The body art was supposed to be a special birthday present, and a number of Staesha's loved ones had chipped in to get her what they believed would be something she'd love. Sadly, things went downhill after she entered the studio.

Staesha has claimed that the artist hadn't even drawn anything up at the time of her arrival and had no recollection as to what it was she even wanted. Things only got worse from there.

She continued: "When I got there, he took two and a half hours to set up. I don't know what the heck he was doing. He did not spend the whole time drawing up a tattoo because he ended up 'freehanding' the tattoo.

"And this is where I should have seen the red flags. I saw the red flags but I didn't say anything. All of the other tattoos that I have were stencils because they are linework, not shading.

"But he kept telling me 'trust the process' and he's a professional so why wouldn't I believe him? I have never gotten like a big tattoo before, so I thought this was how it worked."

While the artist was drawing, an increasingly nervous Staesha began to notice the "elements were quite large", however, he reassured her he would be incorporating smaller elements, and so she continued to trust him.

Revealing the finished result, Staesha said: "Very dark. I asked for no shading and he shaded a lot. And he did tell me 'oh I'm just going to shade a little because I'm worried that you won't be able to tell what it is'.

"I was like, 'okay, very minimal shading, I'm okay with that'. But this isn't minimal at all."

Staesha went on to assert how the flow of the tattoo made "no sense", adding that she'd actually had to stop him from going any further as she just wasn't happy at all.

Frustrated Staesha has since undergone multiple rounds of laser surgery to have the tat removed, and has kept followers updated with her progress at every turn.

In a follow-up video - made after eight rounds of laser treatment - Staesha revealed, that although it's certainly been a "long process", the ink is thankfully now getting lighter, with her arm said to be healing up well.
