Woman 'hit by truck' in Bo'ness as emergency services race to serious incident

Emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious incident in Bo'ness after a woman "was hit by a vehicle".

At least six police vehicles and three ambulances are at the scene including specialist paramedics.

Mercy crews were called to Hope Street just before 9am this morning.

It is understood a woman was taken away to hospital after being hit by a truck.

An ambulance has left the scene under a police escort.

The area has been tapped off with several police officers securing the scene.

An eyewitness told Falkirk Live: “All I heard was someone screaming stop, stop.

“As soon as I turned round the corner there was someone laying on the ground, I’m not sure if they were hit by a vehicle or not.

“A woman then ran over and started giving the woman laying on the ground CPR.”

Police Scotland have been contacted for more information.
