A woman has been hit by a car on The Strand, near the Liver Building.
The crash is believed to have occurred shortly after 4pm, with emergency services at the scene.
Two ambulances, one rapid response vehicle, a police car and a matrix van were all at the scene this afternoon - around a blue car with its hazard lights on.
The condition of the woman is unknown, with her injuries also unknown. She has been taken to hospital.
Police were stopping pedestrians crossing at the crossing nearest the Cunard Building - where the crash occured.
A police spokesperson confirmed that a woman had been hit by a car and that officers were on scene.
Traffic seemed to be unaffected by the crash , with only a small section of the road closed off to passing traffic.
