Woman hit by car in Inverness as police launch probe

A woman who was mowed down by a car has sparked a massive police probe in the Highlands.

The 52-year-old was at a pedestrian crossing at around 3pm on Thursday, December 3, when she was hit by the motor in Inverness.

The car, a blue Seat Leon, hit the woman near Shore Street roundabout.

Police probing the incident are urging any witnesses or those with dash cam footage to come forward.

Sergeant Stuart Fitzpatrick from Burnett Road police station said: “This has been a frightening experience for those involved.

"We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time, or how may have dash cam footage to come forward.”

“Anyone with any information can call 101 quoting incident number 1903 of 3 December 2020.”
