Woman hit by a car on major road remains in hospital

A woman remains in hospital after being hit by a car in Netherton.

Emergency services were called out to Park Lane at 10.35am on Saturday following reports that a woman was hit by a car.

The woman was taken to hospital with what police described as "serious injuries."

The driver of the car involved stopped at the scene.

Police closed Park Lane between the junctions with Bridle Road and Dunnings Bridge Road.

Merseyside Police have confirmed that enquiries are ongoing into the incident.

The incident caused delays and disruption in the area.

Local business Goals Liverpool posted a message on social media which read: "Due to an accident Park Lane has been closed from both ends, If you are attending the site today we would recommend you park up and walk over to the small side gate."
