Woman hails natural ingredient mix for streak-free shower glass with no scrubbing

If you've ever cleaned shower glass, you'll know how easy it is to get streaky again, and it can feel like a perpetual cycle of spending half an hour labouring over it, for it to look exactly the same as it did previously when you've taken a shower or two.

Rather than spending your much-needed downtime scrubbing away tirelessly, one woman has shared her "easy cleaning" hack to make your shower look as good as new.

Cleaning guru @washy_wash shared one of her "smart ways to live" by showing fans how to blitz their showers with three 'natural' things you probably already have.

The high concentration of minerals in water is what leaves the grimy-looking shower glass that we're all desperate to get rid of. When hard water evaporates after a shower, these minerals will stick around - leaving spots that create dirty glass shower cubicles.

Using a spray bottle, the cleaning fan sprayed white vinegar in the shower first. Then, she threw soda bicarbonate all over the shower glass. Afterward, she put some salt on a lemon and proceeded to scrub it all over the shower door, before rinsing it off with the showerhead.

When the process was done, the glass was left looking gleaming and good as new.

In the comments, she specified that the vinegar needed to be left a few minutes before adding the bicarb, as used together, they "neutralise each other."

Many praised the cleaning hack, with some jokingly asking "where's the tequila?"

Another cleaning fan suggested that spraying the vinegar mix and leaving it for 20 minutes, then washing it off with water also works wonders, and uses fewer products so would therefore be cheaper.

Someone asked how often to do this method, and @washy_wash replied: "Once a week."
