False eyelashes are a fun accessory that can make your eyes pop. But users know that applying them takes skill, practice, and a painful amount of patience.
Those who aren't professionals often find themselves re-applying their lashes to get them in the right place. Multiple placements coupled with the sticky glue can often leave your eye makeup a mess and sometimes even result in having to go back to square one.
Luckily, one beauty enthusiast has shared a "genius" hack to get your false eyelashes perfectly positioned. If you often put your lashes stuck in the wrong place, this may blow your mind.
In a TikTok video with over 20 thousand likes, Lucy Blu shared how you can make the most out of your fake lashes.
Known as @lucyblu_ on the app, she revealed that by cutting a single false eyelash in half, you can use them as two separate lashes for a "fox eye" look.
She said: "I've quite small eyes so I only ever put product like eye liner and eye lashes from my pupil out, to get that fox eye effect. So this is why this trick is unbelievable for me.
"With your singular lash, what you're going to to is cut it in half, directly down the middle.
"Once you cut it in half, swap them, so the outers are now the inners. The smaller lashes are on the inside and they'll get bigger as you go out."
But the tips don't stop there. Lucy goes on to explain how you can turn your eyelash glue into a 'Velcro' that will keep your lashes cemented all night long.
She said: "If you have trouble putting on lashes, do this trick, it is full proof. Put your glue on your lash and very roughly where your'e going to put your lash, stamp the glue down and wait 30 seconds for that to get tacky.
"This is basically making your eye and the lash like Velcro so your lash has something to stick to."
Once the glue becomes tacky, place your lash down on the same place for instant sticking.
Lucy concluded: "Look at that, stuck down straight away. No fussing, no moving, done!"
Viewers were blown away by the beauty advice, with some calling it a 'game-changer'.
