As the coronavirus lockdown continues, many people are having to make some tricky decisions about their hair.
Advice from professional hairdressers, including Nicky Clarke, who appeared on BBC Breakfast on Wednesday morning to answer viewers’ questions, is to “leave it alone”.
Easy to say, but hard to do.
And while some are choosing to cut it themselves - often with hilariously disastrous results that soon end up on social media - others are waiting it out and hoping they can visit a professional sooner rather than later.
But one woman, fed up with the amount of grey on display, has praised a £1.99 root spray she picked up in Home Bargains that completely covered her fading hair in seconds.
The savvy shopper was so impressed with the way the natural brown colouring blended into her hair so quickly and evenly, that she shared before and after pictures on the popular Facebook group, Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK.
Along with the photographs, she posted: "Just a small thing but making me feel better during this time when I can’t get to my lovely hairdresser. This spray works miracles on the ever growing grey stripe!
"Lots of different ones about but this is the best I’ve found. £1.99 from Home Bargains."
And it appears to be a favourite with other members of the group as it’s received over 4.5k likes and hundreds of comments.
Root Perfect Instant Root Concealer Spray is available at a steeper price on several websites, including Amazon and savers.com, with prices ranging between £2.99 and £8.50 for a 125ml bottle.
The "miracle" hair spray is available in five different shades - dark, medium and light brown, as well as blonde and black.
