A woman was gobsmacked after soaking her hoover pipe for the first time as the results were very grim - and now others are rushing to do it too.
Taking to Facebook, Rachael Stammers said she had a Henry Vacuum and in the three years she owned it she never thought about cleaning the inside of the pipe.
Then one day she heard about the technique so thought she'd give it a go, and she was amazed by the results - as the water that came out was a disgusting colour and an oily residue rose to the top.
She shared a photo of the results in the Facebook group Family Lowdown Tips and Ideas and soon others were saying that they would soon be trying it too.

When was the last time you cleaned the inside of your hoover? Let us know in the comments...
On Facebook, Rachael wrote: "I have a Henry, and love it! Saw someone do this the other day so thought I’d give it a go after having my Henry for over three years…"
In the picture, the hose of Rachael's henry can be seen soaking in a bathtub that's filled with grim water, which turned the dark brown colour "just after 10 minutes".
The post proved popular on the Facebook page and soon it had over 1,000 likes and countless comments - with many people saying they would soon be giving it a go too.
