Nowadays, getting your own back on scammers has been a popular trend online - from Only Fools and Horses pranks to sending an 'Apple watch' in the form of a literal fruit. Although the incessant phone calls and believable hacking can easily sway you - the power of social media continues to bring these scammers to light.
However, social media star Emily on TikTok has upped the bar with unique ideas after tricking a scammer who asked for her card details. Having raked in a large following of over 1.5 million for her parenting hacks, she steered away from the children content to give a fake caller a taste of their own medicine.

Sharing the hilarious clip onto the streaming service, the video has raked in over 2.1 million views - thanks to Emily's hilarious idea to rid of the caller.
Whilst on the phone with the scammer, she put their conversation on loudspeaker as they cheekily asked for her card details.
Writing an overlay on top of the clip, the mum encouraged her viewers to carry out the same method for the "next time [they] get a prank caller".
The scammer asked: "Ok and the card has your name on it?"
"Yes," Emily replied.
"Alright, go ahead with the numbers please." The scammer added.

In a very believable American accident, Emily took things into her own hands by acting as a broadcast news anchor on live television.
She said: "It's 3, 2, 1... Good evening, we are live on television right now with with an investigation into scam callers!
"We have the FBI on the line, they tracking this phone number as we speak.
"Sir, what is your full name again?"
Horrified by the ordeal, the scammer quickly hung up without saying another word - and Emily struggled to hold back her laughter as she giggled about audacity of the scam.
Several TikTokers even shared their own hilarious conversations with scammers in the comment section - as they used unique ideas of their own.
"You absolute genius," one user gushed
Another joked: "I once wasted 45 mins of this guy’s time, talking like an old man."
A third added: "We had a scammed call multiple times until my mum had enough and blew on a whistle as hard as she could, they stopped calling after that."
