Woman gets her eyebrows laminated 'to get down with the kids' - the end result was hilarious

When Sarah Donnelly decided to get her eyebrows laminated ahead of a date, she didn't expect thousands of people to be laughing at the end result.

The 27-year-old just wanted to fit in with the latest trend and hoped she'd "look like everyone else" when she opted for the treatment, which involves straightening and lifting the hairs using a chemical solution.

But following her appointment, the dog groomer wasn't quite impressed with the end result.

Posting a video to her Tik Tok page, Sarah joked about how 'hilarious' her eyebrows looked, as she struggled to contain her laughter.

The incredible video, which has received comments from users saying she'd 'made their day' has been liked over 20,000 times.

Speaking to the M.E.N, Sarah, from Rochdale, said the best part was that she in fact had a date later that day, and is still with the man now - despite the ridiculous looking brows.

"I just wanted to get down with the kids. I know all the young girls get their eyebrows laminated," Sarah said.

"I was expecting just to look like everyone else but I ended up looking like something completely different.

"I thought it was just my luck. I wasn’t upset, I just thought it was hilarious.

"I actually went on a date on the same night that I got them done. Funnily enough we are actually still together so it must have worked.

"He was so nice and he told me they were fine but I could tell he thought oh my god they look horrendous."

Sarah, who created her Tik Tok account during lockdown whilst she was stuck at home on furlough, said she wanted to post videos that made people laugh.

"My mates told me the video was hilarious and that I should post it so I thought yeah why not," she said.

"I've had so many people messaging saying I’ve made their day which is amazing.

"I thought it was just my luck. I wasn’t upset, I just thought it was hilarious.

"They were like that for about two or three weeks.

"I did get some funny looks. My mum thought it was the funniest thing ever."

Sarah says she's since been bombarded with messages from fellow Tik Tok users asking her for an update.

"I still get my eyebrows laminated but by a different person and they are not so loud anymore," she joked.
