LUCKNOW: A woman charged her lover and his friend with assault and gang rape in Madiaon on Tuesday.
ADCP, North, Prachi Singh said the accused have been booked on charges of rape and criminal intimidation. The prime accused was arrested on Wednesday.
“The survivor was in a relationship with a man who had promised to marry her. On Tuesday, he took the survivor to his house where one of his friend was already present. Her lover forced her to establish physical relationship with his friend. When she object, he thrashed her. Later, the duo raped her,” a police officer said.
She alleged that the accused said they had filmed her in a compromising position and threatened to upload the video on social media.
