Woman furious after brazen neighbour steals parcel then wears new outfit to gym

A furious woman discovered that her neighbour had stolen her parcel after spotting the brazen thief wearing the exact outfit she had ordered.

The anonymous woman posted on Reddit explaining that she had been looking forward to new gym clothes to arriving after her partner bought them as a birthday present.

When the gift failed to be deliverd, she contacted the company to find out what was going on - only to be told it had already been dropped off.

She then inquired with the concierge of her building, who confirmed that the parcel had been collected.

A week went by and there was still no sign of the delivery, until she noticed her neighbour in the gym - kitted out in the exact workout set she had purchased.

She wrote: "I was then in a communal gym when I noticed a lady wearing one of the exact sets of clothes that were ordered for me.

"I noticed her struggle getting into a pair of joggers which were clearly too tight for her (I'm size XXS)."

Suspecting that her neighbour had taken her parcel, she went back to the concierge team to look at the CCTV footage.

And there she claims she saw the very same woman from the gym picking up her parcel.

The building management arranged a meeting with the two women to discuss why she took the package.

She added: "She didn't even hide the fact that she took and opened the package.

"She said she 'thought' it was meant for her (our names are nothing alike), and she even accused me of ordering the wrong size (WHAT?!)"

When she asked her neighbour to pay her the value of the clothes she'd ordered, the woman started shouting and argued that it wasn't her fault the concierge gave her the parcel.

The woman refused to pay her back and stormed out of the meeting room.

She concluded her post by asking Reddit users what she can do to claim the money back, and many people offered their advice.

One person said: "Your neighbour has admitted to you and a witness that she took the parcel. On being informed that it wasn't hers, she is now refusing to give back the items. This is very obviously theft, and the police should definitely be your next step."

While another wrote: "I think the concierge may need to take some blame here, I'm assuming it's a manned desk which is designed to take in parcels on behalf of residents, so I don't see how they've given out the parcel to someone else. I don't think they can just say it's nothing to do with them."
