Woman found with gunshot wounds to the face in West Garfield Park: police

A woman is in critical condition after a shooting Saturday in West Garfield Park.

Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert a few minutes after midnight in the 4400 block of West Congress Parkway, Chicago police said.

They found the 25-year-old in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle with gunshot wounds to the face, police said. She was rushed to Mt. Sinai Hospital.

No arrests have been reported. Area North detectives are investigating.
