PATNA: A 40-year-old woman was found hanging from the third floor balcony of a four-storey apartment in Chitragupt Nagar under Patrakar Nagar police station area in the state capital on Tuesday morning.
She used to work there as a maid. The deceased was identified as a Sameema Khatoon (40), the daughter of Haseeb Miyan of Bahadur Housing Colony under Agamkuan police station area. The incident prompted protests by the locals who alleged that she was murdered and then hanged by the flat owner. The body was spotted hanging with a duppatta around 4am by a woman living in the neighbourhood. She informed the local police.
