A woman was found stabbed to death Wednesday inside an apartment in Oakland on the South Side.

Jazzy Gibson, 25, was found unresponsive about 5 p.m. in the 4000 block of South Ellis Avenue, according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy found Gibson, who lived on the South Side, died of multiple sharp-force injuries, the medical examiner’s office said. Her death was ruled a homicide.

Police did not immediately provide further details about the case. Area Central detectives are investigating.
