Woman found dead on Swansea beach named as inquest opens

A woman found dead on the beach at Swansea Bay has been named as Emma Louise Williams.

Officers from South Wales Police were called to the seafront, just off Oystermouth Road, at around 8am on Monday, April 13.

A team from the Welsh Ambulance Service Trust were also at the scene. The body of the 29-year-old, of Eaton Crescent in Uplands, was found near the Tudor Court Hotel.

An inquest into her death was opened at Swansea Civic Centre on Tuesday. Police have confirmed that Miss Williams' death has been deemed non-suspicious.

Acting senior coroner for Swansea and Neath Port Talbot Colin Phillips adjourned the inquest until April 8, 2021.
