Police in East Kilbride have been investigating the death of a 43-year-old woman.
Her body was found at a house on North Berwick Crescent in the Greenhills area on Monday afternoon.
Officers were called just before 2pm and confirmed the “sudden death” of the woman.
However, a police source said the death was as of yet “unexplained”.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman added: “Officers were called to an address on North Berwick Crescent around 1.50pm following the sudden death of a 43-year-old woman.
“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances but the death is currently being treated as unexplained.
“A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
Reports online spoke of a high volume of police and paramedic activity in the area, with marked vehicles said to still be in place at around 7pm this evening.
