Woman found dead in abandoned Vic home

Police have set up a crime scene at a Melbourne house after the discovery of a woman's body. (AAP)

A woman has been found dead in an abandoned house in Melbourne's outer east, prompting a homicide investigation.

The body was discovered at the Ringwood house late on Saturday night, with police setting up a crime scene.

She is yet to be formally identified.
