Woman forced chop off £950 hair extensions on holiday thanks to swimming blunder

When you book an adventurous holiday somewhere exciting your first thought might be trying new foods or experience you have booked. The last thing on your mind is the possibility of your hair extensions needing to be chopped off.

But for one woman this became a reality when she decided to go snorkelling after a heavy night out on her travels. When she returned to her accommodation she realised her extensions were matted beyond repair.

The woman, who is only known on TikTok as @sbmontg, regularly shares updates about her life to her hundreds of followers and recently shared a clip which went viral from her holiday in Puerto Vallarta in Mexico..

But things did not exactly go to plan with the hair extensions she had put in just before the trip.

In the video, she says: "Spent over £900 getting hand tied extensions right before going to Puerto Vallarta for holiday."

She then goes onto explain that she decided to go snorkelling while on her trip after a boozy evening, a decision which she grew to regret.

"Got back to the condo and realised my extensions were matted," she said.

"Spent four hours trying to get the knots and mats out.

"Gave up and had my fiancé cut them out."

In the caption for the clip she noted: "Lesson learned. Don't go snorkelling with hand-tied hair extensions.”

In addition, the content creator shared what her hair looked like before the holiday and there is a pretty stark difference between the two.

Before the holiday she shows her brunette hair with blonde highlights that went all the way to her waist.

The snorkelling activity resulted in her luscious locks getting severely matted, leaving her with no choice but to go for the DIY chop.
