A woman ran from a park 'hysterically crying’ after a man reportedly ‘swung’ at her.
The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, was walking her dog in Harrison Park in Wallasey on Sunday when the alleged incident took place.
Playing fetch with her dog around 12pm, she said another dog appeared from one side of the Wirral park and began to make tracks towards her.

The 27-year-old told the ECHO: “I had my dog off lead, there was no one around and we were playing fetch with her ball.
“My dog had her ball in her mouth and this dog appeared from the right and became aggressive and started biting my dog's right shoulder.
“My dog dropped the ball, however this dog continued to bite my dog on her right shoulder/back.”
In an effort to break up the dogfight, the woman shouted at both dogs and used her shins to “nudge” them apart as she was concerned about potentially being bitten.
However while she was trying to break the upsetting fight up, the owner of the other dog reportedly confronted the woman.
She said: “I felt this force against my back along with a man screaming. I initially thought this man had tripped and fallen against me as it was such an impact.
“He came out of nowhere.
“I turned to see what had happened and he swung to hit me. He was not concerned with getting his dog off of mine, he kept trying to hit me.”
The woman said the man hit her in the back as well as “kicked” her dog in the ribs.
While the man continued to reportedly “verbally abuse” the woman, shouting “awful names” at her and swearing, the dogs managed to separate and she used this as her chance to run away from the stranger.
She added: “I managed to get away from him and that’s when he grabbed his dog by the scruff, however continuing to verbally abuse me.
“I ran towards the exit of the park on Sandcliffe Road which is when I rang my boyfriend hysterically crying and panicked.”
The woman said she has suffered bruises and cuts to her leg where she landed when the man “threw” her forward and her back has been “in agony” since the attack.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "The victim is reported to have cuts and bruises to her leg and is left shocked and distressed by the incident.
"The suspect is described as white, in his 60s with short grey curly hair and has a local accent. His dog is described as a golden-coloured mongrel with short hair and has his back leg missing."
