Woman 'fires gun inside McDonald's because her food was cold'

A woman who flew into a rage after being served cold chips at a McDonald's returned with a gun and opened fire, according to reports in the US.

Lillian Tarver was arrested following a police chase on Tuesday after the terrifying row in Georgia.

Despite being given a refund by the restaurant manager, she marched into the kitchen and fired a shot into the floor, it is claimed.

Staff were left fearing for their lives.

Describing what she was thinking as it happened, worker Lynn Watson told news network WTOC: “This is serious, and I need to find a way to get out of it.

"Like, I need to find a way to get out and be alive."

She said Tarver had thrown a drink over her and the manager, coming behind the counter and "physically fighting".

Ms Watson said she grabbed Tarver's hair and "just started slinging her across the floor" in self defence.

The furious customer left, but returned moments later with a gun, the employee said.

Since it happened, Ms Watson said she does not feel safe working at the outlet.

"I fear for my life, and my family fears for my life," she said.

It happened at around 2.45pm at the Garden City branch of the fast-food outlet.

Police were called, and Tarver was stopped nearby and arrested.

Thankfully no one was injured in the incident.
