Woman finds 'bullet holes' in her car after leaving it parked overnight

A woman getting ready to go to work was shocked to discover "bullet holes" in her car leaving it severely damaged.

Chloe Wathan parked her car overnight on Vicarage Road in Penygraig, Rhondda, after returning from work at the Princess of Wales hospital on Tuesday, February 15.

But, when she left for work on Wednesday morning she found her car badly damaged.

Her car window has been smashed and the bodywork of the car has bullet holes in it that are suspected to be from a pellet gun. One of the pellets was found inside the car.

She said: "The car has eight bullet holes and four in the window alone. I am absolutely gobsmacked, it's not the usual thing you see with people being childish by keying someone's car or hitting wing mirrors off. I've never heard of someone's car getting shot by a pellet gun.

"The wind was so bad and really loud last night, my neighbours nor I heard anything. No other cars were shot at in the street.

"I have no idea who could have done this."

She is appealing for any CCTV in the area to help identify who caused the damage to her car.
